The International HACCP Alliance operates through the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Formerly the International Meat and Poultry HACCP Alliance, the International HACCP Alliance was formed in 1994 to provide a uniform standardization program for HACCP training to assure safe guidelines for the meat and poultry industry. They continue to work cooperatively with USDA's Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS) and other regulatory agencies. The HACCP Alliance membership includes over 120 members from 9 countries representing industry associations, professional associations, educational foundations, universities, third party companies, and government cooperators. |

S.T.O.P. is a national, not-for-profit organization devoted to preventing illness and loss of life caused by food borne contamination. Formed in 1993, S.T.O.P. was instrumental in making the first improvements to meat and poultry inspection standards in over 90 years. They continue to work with industry and government to change practices and policies that will ultimately ensure a safer food supply. |
